Delaware's NIIMBL receives $1.5M grant from Gates Foundation

The National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL) announced its receipt of a grant  from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help fund the advancement of biopharmaceutical manufacturing technology in the U.S. and globally. NIIMBL will receive up to $1.5M to support the development of innovative technologies that reduce the cost of manufacturing biopharmaceuticals.

The grant provides a valuable resource for leading scientists and subject matter experts from the NIIMBL community to develop manufacturing technology solutions that increase speed to market and lower costs for biopharmaceuticals to improve healthcare outcomes for all patients, including those in under-served markets and developing nations, through enhanced access to life-saving medicines and vaccines.
