The Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic, with support from Arnold Ventures, is launching a new initiative to identify locally-supported policies that help reduce sugar consumption in the general population and build capacity for change at the policy level.
To that end, FLPC is accepting proposals for technical assistance from community organizations, food policy councils, and local, state, and tribal government entities interested in implementing innovative sugar-reduction policies.
Through the initiative, two organizations will receive a year of in-depth capacity-building engagement that includes nonpartisan research and legal consultation as well as resources on a variety of sugar-reduction policies tailored to the interests of the grantee; early-stage coalition building and community outreach support; and communications materials and media outreach.
Eligible candidates include community-based organizations; local, regional, or state food policy councils; and local or state government entities.
