Warren H. Pearse Women’s Health Policy Research Award, The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

This research award will provide $10,000 to support research which explores an aspect of health care policy that assists, defines, or restricts the ability of a physician to deliver health care to women in the general population, or in a specific area.

Warren H. Pearse, MD, was the Executive Director of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists from 1975 until his retirement in 1993. His professional life’s work was dedicated to the advancement of women’s health care. Dr. Pearse authored over 50 scientific papers and was an honorary member and leader of numerous obstetric and gynecologic societies. Upon his retirement, ACOG’s headquarters building was renamed the Warren H. Pearse Building in his honor and the Warren H. Pearse Women’s Health Policy Research Award was established.
