Asian Cultural Council Program

The Asian Cultural Council supports cultural exchange in the visual and performing arts between the United States and Asia, and between the countries of Asia.

Grants are made to educational and cultural institutions engaged in projects of special significance to Asian-American exchange. In addition, the Council offers travel grants for individuals (or two collaborators) who need modest financial support for travel of less than one month.

Fields of interest include:

• archaeology;
• architecture;
• art history;
• arts administration;
• arts criticism;
• conservation;
• crafts;
• curation;
• dance;
• ethnomusicology
• film, video, and photography;
• literature (for projects to and from Japan only);
• museum studies;
• music;
• theater; and,
• visual art.
