AstraZeneca Corporate Contributions Program: Health and Science Innovation Challenge

The AstraZeneca Corporate Contributions Program primarily supports organizations and programs dedicated to improving healthcare or promoting science education and skills, particularly among young people.

AstraZeneca accepts unsolicited grant requests through the Health and Science Innovation Challenge program area. The focus is on programs and initiatives that innovatively address the challenges to healthcare across the U.S.

Applicants must do one of the following:

• present a new approach, tool, or technology to help solve a health challenge; or,
• build knowledge and skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math among K-12 or undergraduate students to be entrepreneurial problem solvers.

In addition, preference is given to efforts that work to address an urgent unmet need related to health (including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, inflammation and infection, respiratory diseases, cancer, and conditions addressed through neuroscience, including mental health) or science in the community.

The types of organizations that are supported include:

• patient organizations;
• associations for medical professionals;
• hospitals and clinics;
• civic and public organizations; and,
• foundations and academic institutions.

Note: The AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation promotes public awareness of healthcare issues. The mission of the Foundation's Connections for Cardiovascular Health program is to improve cardiovascular health within the United States.

In addition, the Medical Education Grants Office is committed to supporting quality independent medical education that enhances patient care.
