The Chatlos Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the United States.
The Foundation's areas of interest in order of preference include:
- bible colleges and seminaries;
- religious causes;
- liberal arts colleges;
- medical concerns; and,
- social concerns, including direct services such as child welfare, vocational training, prison alternatives, concerns for the aged and disabled, and crisis intervention.
Priority consideration is given to program support.
Fewer grants are given for:
- bricks and mortar;
- endowments;
- conference and administrative expenses; and,
- multi-year grants.
The Foundation does not fund requests for:
- medical research;
- support for individual church congregations;
- secondary schools;
- organizations in existence for less than a two-year period;
- the arts;
- individuals; or,
- loans.
