Colibri Grants is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting public K-12 classrooms to help build an enriching, vibrant, and equitable classroom experience for students.
The following two types of grants are provided:
Classroom Enrichment Grants
These grants of $250 to $400 are available to public elementary school teachers, and are designed to provide relief from the out-of-pocket expenses classroom teachers incur during the school year. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
Grants are not provided to/for:
textbooks for school-wide use;
ancillary equipment, including PCs, printers, scanners, tablets, or Chromebooks;
A/V hardware, including recording equipment or cameras;
activities that benefit less than 15 students;
registration or admission fees; or,
travel, t-shirts, or promotional materials.
Special Project Grants
These grants up to $5,000 are available to K-12 public school teachers for special projects which significantly influence student learning. Applications are accepted from September 1 through December 31, annually.
Grants are not provided to/for:
t-shirts or promotional items or awards;
teacher workshop fees; or,
activities that benefit less than 15 students.
