The DEW Foundation, formerly the Dale and Edna Walsh Foundation, joins hands with effective nonprofit organizations to meet human need and promote the common good worldwide.
The Foundation's areas of interest include:
- health;
- community and social services, including youth and family services;
- relief organizations;
- education;
- arts and culture; and,
- Christian ministries.
The Foundation is guided by Christian teachings in deciding right and wrong, good and better, but is not limited to supporting only religious-based organizations.
Grassroots organizations supporting nonpartisan issues may be considered.
Organizations must be located in the continental United States, but may serve populations worldwide.
Types of support include:
- general support;
- project support; and,
- capital support.
Grants are not made to/for:
- normal church operations;
- individuals;
- culturally liberal activist causes or to organizations that primarily seek to influence legislation or government spending; or,
- political parties or associated political organizations.
Note: Projects with which Foundation board members are personally familiar normally receive priority.
