Learning Disabilities Foundation of America

LDFAThe Learning Disabilities Foundation of America is dedicated to providing funds for research and education and the promotion of public awareness of both children and adults with learning disabilities. Support is provided to organizations throughout the U.S.

Examples of funded projects include the following:

  • innovative research into the causes, the prevention, or the alleviation of learning disabilities;
     
  • distinctive public awareness programs to advance public understanding of the needs of persons with learning disabilities; and,
     
  • innovative programs to advance the achievement of persons with learning disabilities, increase the support skills of their families, support academic and professional advisors, and enhance the understanding of learning disabilities by their colleagues and employers.

Projects of national impact and projects that may be replicated are given preference.

Grants are not made for capital campaigns, routine organizational operations (e.g. newsletters, utilities, salaries, or equipment considered normal for organizational operations), or endowment funds.
