New Earth Foundation

The New Earth Foundation envisions a more evolved human consciousness, manifesting as universal respect for all life, worldwide responsible stewardship of Earth's resources and the common realization that humanity is one of many threads in the beautiful tapestry of creation.

The Foundation foresees greater wisdom in handling human affairs and a much increased understanding of, and willingness to cooperate with, other cultures.

Grants are given predominantly to smaller and newer organizations.

The Foundation's areas of interest include:

  • education;
  • youth development, including leadership development and social activism programs;
  • arts, culture, and humanities;
  • environmental quality, protection, and beautification, including pollution reduction and natural resources;
  • preservation of endangered forests and plant species;
  • animal rights;
  • clean water and energy sources;
  • hunger relief;
  • shelters for catastrophe areas and the homeless;
  • communication;
  • community improvement and social sustainability;
  • economic self-sufficiency and economic improvement;
  • alternative health and holistic medicine;
  • alternative food, nutrition, and agriculture;
  • alternative science and technology; and,
  • spirituality and religion.

Note: The Foundation may consider community housing, after-school, children, youth, summer camp, or garden programs that are significantly innovative, transformative, and effective.

Emphasis is given to programs and organizations that seek community involvement or collaboration with other organizations.

The Foundation does not fund:

  • organizations that offer mainstream social services or local organizations that are affiliated with a national organization, such as Boys & Girls Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, or other such organizations;
  • organizations that are involved in general community housing and renovation;
  • organizations that have standard after-school programs, outdoor summer camps, or regular gardening programs;
  • capital improvement, building projects, or land acquisitions; or,
  • personal or educational expenses.
