The Ploughshares Foundation supports nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S.
The Foundation's areas of interest include:
- arts and culture;
- civil rights, positive race relations, social justice, and peace;
- children and youth;
- the environment;
- human services, including alleviating hunger and homelessness;
- international human rights and humanitarian aid;
- refugees; and,
- women's issues.
Types of support include general operating and project support.
Application Procedure:
Interested applicants should submit a written request that includes a description of the organization, the purpose for which funds are being requested, and the amount of the request. Applicants should also include a copy of the IRS letter confirming tax-exempt status and the organization's most recently filed IRS Form 990.
