The David and Linda Shaheen Foundation

The David and Linda Shaheen Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations throughout the United States.

The Foundation's priorities include the following:

• Higher Education for Inner City Youth
  The Foundation supports scholarships for inner city youth in order to help alter the cycle of poverty that exists in their communities. The Foundation requires scholarship programs to have a significant mentoring component to help guide students through the complexities of higher education to result in a positive outcome.
   
• AIDS Prevention
  The Foundation seeks to help stop the spread of AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases through education, ideally before a person becomes sexually active. The Foundation believes that it is vitally important to impart accurate information to youth so they can make good decisions for their future health and well-being.
