The Trust for the Meditation Process believes that contemplative practice transforms the way we see ourselves and our world, and guides us in the process of becoming fully human and develops our capacity for compassionate action in society.
The Trust makes grants to nonprofit organizations worldwide that reclaim and teach Christian contemplative traditions, that introduce meditation in the Christian community, or that further our understanding of contemplative practice in all spiritual traditions.
The Trust supports short-term projects where a small grant can make a credible impact and result in clearly identifiable outcomes.
Projects funded include:
Grants to endowment, capital campaigns, and general operating support are very rare. Grants are not provided for annual fundraising or membership appeals.
Most grants are made in the United States. However, because contemplative practice is a worldwide movement, the Foundation does not limit grants to the U.S.
