VIA Art Fund is a nonprofit organization working to support visionary initiatives in art. Emphasizing direct engagement with contemporary visual art, the Fund supports projects that exemplify the core values of artistic production, thought leadership, and public engagement.
The Fund provides support to artists, curators, cultural organizations, and biennials for the production, exhibition, public dissemination, and institutional acquisition of new works of art and ideas, with a particular emphasis on works mounted beyond traditional exhibition environments.
Artistic Production Grants
This program supports U.S.-based and international artists, curators, nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions, art production platforms, biennials, and festivals. Support is geared towards high-impact projects in non-traditional exhibition venues and those mounted in the public realm.
Outside the U.S., the Fund's support is targeted at significant opportunities such as biennials, triennials, and notable exhibitions that take place outside gallery walls. U.S. and international nonprofit organizations applying for support outside the U.S. must feature the work of American or U.S.-based artists or curators.
For projects within the U.S., the featured artists may be American or international. International artists may submit proposals for projects that take place in the U.S.
