The mission of Morris Animal Foundation is to leverage cutting-edge science and available resources to advance the health of animals. To that end, he foundation funds humane, hypothesis-driven animal health research projects with high scientific merit and the potential for significant impact on animal health.
The foundation currently is inviting applications for its Pilot Study Grants program. Through the program, grants of up to $10,000 plus indirect costs (up to a maximum of $10,800) will be awarded in support of innovative ideas that accelerate discovery and advance MAF's mission. Projects must advance science in the areas of canine, feline, equine, llama, alpaca, or wildlife health. Projects oriented toward human health and agricultural animal health do not fall within the foundation's mission and will not be considered.
