ACOG Invites Applications for Women’s Health Policy Research Award

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is inviting applications for its Warren H. Pearse Women’s Health Policy Research Award.

The award is named for Warren H. Pearse, MD, who was the executive director of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists from 1975 until his retirement in 1993 and whose professional life’s work was dedicated to the advancement of women’s health care. Pearse authored more than fifty scientific papers and was an honorary member and leader of numerous obstetric and gynecologic societies.

Through the award program, a single grant of $10,000 will be awarded in support of research that explores an aspect of healthcare policy that assists, defines, or restricts the ability of a physician to deliver health care to women in the general population, or in a specific area. 

To be eligible, applicants must be junior fellows or fellows of the college at the time of their application.
