Webinar: Promoting Better Communities for Older People, Building Economic Security using the Elder Index

Presented by Grantmakers in Aging and Grantmakers in Health

January 16, 2020
2:00–3:00 PM Eastern

What is the true cost of living for older adults? Join Grantmakers In Aging and Grantmakers In Health for a conversation about the Elder Index, a tool that measures the income older people need to meet necessary expenses for housing, health care, food, transportation, and other essentials, while staying independent in their own homes. The tool is calculated for every county and state in the United States. Presenters will show how the Elder Index sheds new light on levels and patterns of economic insecurity experienced in locations throughout the U.S. This webinar will stimulate funders, advocates, and service providers to consider ways to use the Elder Index on behalf of older people.
