Individual Giving Officer

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships

GENERAL FUNCTION: Oversee the creation and ongoing implementation of an individual fundraising program. Responsible for communicating PCN’s mission and values to audiences, encouraging them to support PCN’s work. Work in cooperation with other managers to carry out company initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing and implementing strategy for PCN’s individual giving program.
  • Identifying, engaging, cultivating, and soliciting current and prospective donors in expanding their financial support of PCN’s work.
  • Collaborating with marketing team to develop fundraising materials and launch platform for taking individual donations through PCN website and app.
  • Researching new leads for individual giving through networking, use of third-party lead services, in-person meetings, and calls. Attending promotional and programming events on behalf of PCN’s individual giving program. Organizing activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for an organization.
  • Maintaining donor database.
  • Availability for evening and weekends as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in fundraising and individual donor stewardship.
  • Previous experience working in the nonprofit industry.
  • Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention growth and recapture.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication, public speaking, group training/facilitation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic go-getter, able to relate to audiences and what they value about PCN’s offerings.
  • Experience working with donor databases.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, travel to meet prospective donors, and attend events on behalf of organization.
