Making an Impact is My Day Job: A Conversation with Young Nonprofit Leaders

As part of the Mill Summit Virtual Conference

Wednesday, August 5 @ 10 AM to 11 AM

This is a unique time in history where new challenges for nonprofits have surfaced. To step up and lead in this field of work is not for the faint of heart. They've had to be entrepreneurial, wear multiple hats and work tirelessly -- all for the sake of the cause. Our discussion with young leaders will focus on how they've risen to the challenge of working in the nonprofit/philanthropic arena in the COVID-19 era.

As part of the session, attendees will learn about:

  • Explore creative strategies that have been used to keep their organizations alive through COVID-19
  • Understand the thought process of problem-solving, leading and pivoting
  • Learn how you can have this same mindset in your work and life

Moderator: Jennifer Saienni, Marketing Communications, Delaware Hospice

Panelists

  • Lianna Magerr, Executive Director, Wilmington Children's Chorus
  • Melissa Micek, Director of Engagement, Philanthropy Delaware
  • Leah Coles, Director of Business & Community Development, Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County
