Delaware communities face increasing challenges across affordability and accessibility to safe, energy efficient housing and health services, and the challenges have been exacerbated in the past year due to adversities brought on by the pandemic and social unrest. In addition, the issue of climate change and how it disproportionately effects underserved communities. When the ability to afford high-quality housing is out of reach, both social and health outcomes are adversely affected. The question becomes, how can funders meet the evolving needs for a greater impact and achieve the vision of a just, vibrant, and thriving Delaware through effective, strategic, and impactful philanthropy?
Philanthropy Delaware invites our members and key stakeholders to engage in a conversation on the ecosystem of energy, housing, and health. Together, we will explore opportunities to strengthen the connection between the sectors and opportunities to join the efforts to advance equity throughout Delaware. Philanthropy Delaware Member, Energize Delaware, will discuss their recent efforts and initiatives, including the newly created Energy Equity Fund.
