Philanthropic Membership

Categories for Philanthropic membership include:

  • Corporate foundations / company giving programs
  • Community foundations
  • Donor-advised funds and holders of funds
  • Grantmaking public charities and public foundations
  • Grantmaking intermediaries
  • Giving circles and funder collaboratives
  • Private, independent and family foundations
  • Endowed operating foundations
  • Individual donors who grant at least $25,000 annually to multiple grantees ($10,000 for individuals age 35 and younger)

Philanthropic Membership dues are calculated based on yearly giving.

    Institutional Membership

    Institutional Members are comprised of the granting, community development, CRA, CSR, or giving advisory arms of universities and colleges, non-for-profit business and organizations, distinct corporate sectors, and state or government entities. 

    Institutional Membership dues are $1,000.00 per year.

    The benefits of Institutional Membership include -

    Advisor Membership

    Advisor Members are not grantmaking entities but rather professional service providers that expressly support philanthropy (E.g. investment/wealth managers and advisors, family offices, legal and financial advisors, Insurance, information technology , advisors to trusts and foundations, and consultants to foundations) 

    Advisor Membership dues are $900 per year for businesses with 6+ employees, and $450 per year for individual proprietors.

    The benefits of Advisor Membership include - 

    • Expertise and consultative services in national philanthropic and philanthropy-adjacent practices, policies, and trends
    • Selected programming, including presentations by both local and national philanthropic leaders
    • Access to reporting and analysis from Philanthropy Delaware’s proprietary tools
    • Our Member Insider e-newsletter, featuring the latest news and trends from proprietary publications, state and Member philanthropy news, and our upcoming programming
    • Dedicated online spaces for grants, RFPs, and sector career opportunities

    Subscriber Membership

    Subscriber Members are not grantmakers but individual or organizational donors, people with an interest in keeping abreast of state and national philanthropy, or grant and fundraising consultants.

    Subscriber Membership dues are $400 per year.

    The benefits of Subscriber Membership include - 

    • National, Member, and local philanthropy news
    • Access to analysis and reporting from Philanthropy Delaware’s proprietary tools
    • Philanthropic consultative services 
    • Grant, RFP, and job boards sponsorship advantages for Philanthropy Delaware events
