Family Medicine Cares USA, an initiative of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Foundation, helps new and existing free health clinics to care for the uninsured in areas of need across the United States.
Grants of up to $25,000 are provided to new clinics, and grants of up to $10,000 are provided to existing clinics. Grants may be used for the purchase of tangible items, such as exam tables, EHR systems, and medical equipment.
Applicants must be a new clinic nearing completion of the Volunteers in Medicine clinic development process and have an AAFP member in a leadership role within the clinic.
