What's the plan, Stan? Moving Forward through Authentic Strategic Planning

A strategic plan turns words into action as a living, breathing guide for your organization. Participants in this workshop will understand the role of their organization's strategic plan, why it's important, who should be involved, what guides it, and its use and application. Specifically, this workshop will delve into the following questions:

• What is a strategic plan and what makes a good one? 
• Who develops a strategic plan? 
• How long is a strategic plan good for and how often should it be reviewed? 
• How are strategic, budget, and development planning interdependent?
• How does a strategic plan tie into an evaluation plan?

This workshop will be presentational and conversational; it will include large group and small breakouts. It is targeted to any and all who are needing guidance on their strategic planning process and don't know where to start. Participants will walk away with concrete ideas of how to be a supportive member of their organization's development of a strategic plan and how to turn words into action.
